Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You could usually find pneumatic forklifts in warehouses and shipping operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used to transport materials and things around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that can lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single individual.
To be able to prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated with care. Machine must be inspected before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be carefully stacked to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
To release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever located on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be in the middle to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is really dangerous to push the pallet in front of you since the thrust can cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
