Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
Terex provides Genie DC and Bi-Energy machinery which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial situations where the machine has to travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and versatility of a diesel powered generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Several of the important characteristics provided by this combination consist of out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing provided by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The drive and proportional controls offer the machine with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for particular tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This particular model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine out, over and up positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach provided by this type is second to none in the market.
Diesel engine machinery on nearly all modes have an articulating boom which provides zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machines are great in small or narrow places. In addition, they offer terrain and grade maneuverability, supreme power and excellent torque. The diesel engines are generally quiet too. The majority of models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to provide great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models too.
