Genie telescopic S-booms have a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Compared with various other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined places during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously unreachable by standard jibs. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing effectiveness and production.
