By combining modern technology, high performance and stability, Caterpillar Container handlers are the optimum choice for loading and unloading full containers. Rough Terrain Forklift
The rough terrain forklift is recommended for applications at construction sites and other environments where there is no paved surface. This particular type of forklift is used to shuttle materials around lumberyards.

These forklifts are designed for rough terrain. Nevertheless, the machinery is top heavy and should be handled carefully in rough locations. The machine should be level with all tires on the ground when lifting.

Steering is more difficult at higher speeds. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration does not set speed limitations on forklifts. Nonetheless, drivers are responsible for operating forklifts at a speed that is safe, especially if turning and driving on rough terrain.

Not raising a load while operating on an incline would avoid tipping over. The load should be on the machine's uphill drive if driving up an incline. When driving down an incline, it is good safety practice to back down.
