Hazards of Type-G lift trucks
Forklifts perform an essential part in the operations of warehouses and other businesses. These machinery are capable of lifting and transporting immense loads from one place to another. There are numerous variations on the forklift. The primary variation is the way in which different units are fueled. "LP" forklifts are the type that is most common. They run on liquid propane. Type "E" lift trucks operate on electricity and have large rechargeable batteries. Type "D" lift trucks are fueled by diesel and type "G" use gasoline. Though all forklifts, like any piece of heavy equipment, can pose a hazard, gasoline powered forklifts carry the most risks.

Fire
Type G lift trucks could present a fire hazard. Gasoline-fueled forklifts are not held to rigorous standards in reducing lessening fire hazards. The biggest cause of fire is due to gasoline leaks that enable gasoline fumes to escape. This could result from normal wear and from accidents or driving on extremely rough terrain. These circumstances pose a risk and can result in fire. Therefore, a typical Type G forklift should never be utilized in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed not acceptable. Like for instance, these types of forklifts should not be used around dangerous or explosive chemicals.

Explosion
Gas lift trucks also pose a risk of explosion, as do diesel and liquid propane based lift trucks. A kind of lift truck that operate on gasoline can explode as a result of a serious mishap in circumstances where a gasoline leak and an ignition source are present. An explosion can occur when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Type G lift trucks pose a serious inhalation hazard because of toxic fumes. Gasoline fumes can be deadly in high concentrations. Fumes can result from gasoline leaks or from the exhaust itself. Thus, a Type G forklift is not suggested for any environment which is poorly ventilated. The exhaust will present a serious danger in enclosed places. This type of forklift must be used with caution when operated near people.
